Just starting a new business takes a bit of trial and error to see what works and how to best do things.  We started out with a blog and then tried a Facebook page.  It seemed the Facebook page was more efficient for reaching our customers  and we couldn't figure out how to post to the blog without redoing all the photos so we just concentrated on Facebook.  I think the blog has made it easier to link to Facebook now so we are back to trying that too!

Thank you to all of our great customers for shopping at Bluebird!  We continue to be blessed with your many kind comments on how much you love our shop!  I was in the shop today and another fan told me how much she loved our shop and the great prices!  And that is true, we try to price things reasonably so you can shop often and we can add new items!

The positive feedback is so very encouraging when you are just starting out and we appreciate it!

Here are a few new items.

A dreamy white vanity that would be so sweet in a girl's room!

The stool is new too and we also have the handmade coin purses on the red rack.
They are perfect for the college girl who has to show ID many times a day
and fits your cash, credit cards, keys and even a lipstick!

A chippy white enamel top table and a pretty blue stool.

This is a pretty little table that didn't even make it in the shop.

And this is the lucky shopper who snatched it on the way in the door!

Tomorrow we will be bringing in some new things so check back!

What a glorious blue!  Love the numbers too!

A classic black and cream combo on this metal stool.
Bits of green peak through the black to add sparkle.

Here's a side table with a sweet birds nest graphic.

This ended up being my favorite piece this week.
The chippy white paint is sealed in polycrylic and the cherub riding the bird is distressed
just enough to look like it's always been there.  The inside of the lower shelf
has a birds nest.  Love this!!!

Here is the complete look.

A French looking mirror.

This is another table that would be great as a bedside.
Love the angel wings!

That's the work that went to the shop yesterday.

Another French crate.

Isn't this a sweet looking vintage corner cabinet?

A burlap pin board with a crown graphic and vintage postcards.
French of course.

This is a perfect color for fall.
Makes you feel all warm inside doesn't it?

Here is another vintage table with some
cute cottage decorating accessories-shutters,
register grates-(I think they look so pretty displayed on a table like a photograph),
frames and a leaded glass antique window.

What a pretty cottage style shelf.
I can just imagine it with some soaps and vintage bottles displayed on it.

Really into the French style lately:)

Just too pretty!

What did I tell you about the French style now?  This table is metal!
It has some chippy paint and it just seems so French.  Lovely!

We have been working very hard getting more things for the shop.
Here are a few of our favorite things!

Click on the photos to see them larger and with more detail.

A great vintage enamel table.
Wouldn't this be wonderful for a young girl's first apartment?
Add a few chairs with a vintage cherry print fabric on the seats and it would be so sweet!

A shabby chandelier that would be great hung under a pergola and filled with candles.
What great ambiance for a dinner or party in the garden!

I made this pin board with a vintage frame
and a gorgeous French fabric stretched over a corkboard.
Beautiful style for your home office.

A cute yellow school desk for your homeschool
and a mosaic bistro chair.

More to come!
I am working on some French toile pillows in a cream and black combo.
They are so pretty!

The most wonderful trunk ever!

Blue Ball canning jars.
Perfect for filling with pasta, rice or chocolate chips
for a beautiful organized pantry.  I have these on my pantry shelf and love the look!

Gorgeous mantles
to add instant character to your home!
Fill the opening with stacks of books, add a comfy chair, a warm blanket,
a cute side table to hold your cup of tea and a reading lamp and you've got a cozy corner
to curl up with a good book.
I did this with a vintage mantle for my daughter's room
and she gets that coffee shop atmosphere
that beckons her to take a few moments to relax and read awhile every day.

At Christmas you can hang your stockings with care!

A vintage  trash can or maybe a planter?
Or maybe its a great place to store the  mittens or umbrellas in the mud room.
Whatever you use it for, it's gorgeous with its perfect shade of vintage green and ribbed metal detail.

Fill this pretty pitcher with fresh cut lilacs or hydrangeas.
It's the most beautiful shade of purple.
The glasses are perfect for frozen drinks at a summer party and the tray is pewter!

More great trunks!

A white wicker writing desk would be charming for a bedside
or vanity in a young girl's room.

And as always, more to come next week.....lots more!
